Find out what makes Sal salivate
Salt water Taffy?
That's a TON of taffy! Yum! I want to dive in!
At first I thought it was a flower! lol
MrManuel - Yes indeed, it's salt water taffy! Jess - And it's only one barrel of I don't know how many in the store!Kelly - Interesting observation. I doubt I would have seen it had you not mentioned it, but from afar, yes, I can see the resemblance! As you can imagine, my instinct to include lots of exposition with every picture I post means that I have to remind myself what "wordless" means. Therefore, I will include some background here. This picture was taken at a candy shop in Virginia City, Nevada when Katie and I were there a couple weekends ago. The store had a huge selection of taffy, but unlike that one shop in Old Sacramento, they don't allow you to eat as much taffy as you want while you're in the store. Also, they don't hand out chocolate-covered crickets to adventurous visitors. Oh well.
Um... There's a store in Old Sac that lets you eat as much salt water taffy as you want while you shop?! And how is it that I'm just now learning this?!
Yes indeed! Have I never told you and MrManuel the story of how Katie and I lost our car in the Downtown Plaza parking garage while carrying a two-pound bag of salt water taffy from said store? It's not a difficult store to find; it's close to Old Sac's main garage. On the other hand, we were thinking we might head over there after The Squeeze Inn next week, if you guys are free...
