Miss Sassy Pants - you know what they say: no glove, no love. Seriously, it's a very good idea to wash one's hands between going to the bathroom and handling food; however, the reverse is also true, and I can say that from personal experience. "Ouch" is an understatement.
I learned this weekend that rubbing table salt on your hands prior to a thorough washing is a good tactic for getting chile oils off of your hands, but I haven't yet had the opportunity to try it.
