An unidentified sandwich from Mel's Drive-In. Though the name is long forgotten, and a cursory check of Mel's website indicates that such an item may no longer be on the menu, it had roast beef and cheddar cheese, and was quite good.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I can't honestly say I've ever chosen to go there, even in my "eating out late while drunk" days. It's far from my favorite place to grab a bite, though when I've been forced to I've found that some of their entrees are a bit better than their burgers. Not sure if it's the bland, uniform-shaped patties or the bizarre-looking hamburger buns or what, but I can think of few restaurant burgers that I like less.
